Storm Mountain’s coffee and food pairing events are similar to wine pairing dinners—except you can drive home afterward! We host food pairing events at our location and can also come to you.

Tasting
Tasting coffees side by side helps you understand the differences in flavors that can develop depending on where coffee originates and how it is roasted.
We prefer serving from a French press as it fully immerses the coffee in hot water to draw the deepest and truest flavors from each bean. The absence of a filter allows the natural oils in the coffee to stay in the drink and envelop your tongue with the velvety texture in every sip. Pairing with food highlights how coffee can intensify some flavors and quiet others as well as how some foods can enhance or mute certain coffee notes. Learn how to showcase the flavors you want by choosing the proper coffee for your menu.
Coffee Pairing
Our goal is to show you the importance of coffee to the overall meal. If you are putting your energy and money into an impressive meal for guests, please put great thought into the coffee you choose. As often, coffee is the first taste on the mouth during a meal as well as the last. What is more important, the first impression or the last? The question is mute if you just serve great coffee throughout!
They are a fun way to learn about coffee and the coffee world while tasting different origins and enjoying some incredible local foods along their side. Organize a group of friends or co-workers for this unique and fun experience! We try to keep the numbers small and intimate. Preferably 8-12 people. If you choose to attend at our location you will be enjoying all of this in the midst of our roastery! Sign up now on our calendar or feel free to contact us for a private event.

OUR SUGGESTION:

Rock-the-Boat Blend
A Scandinavian-style blend of coffee; We have combined a smooth, bold French Roast with a medium roast for ultimate depth in flavor. This blend is designed for the coffee lovers who prefer their coffee both strong in flavor and caffeine. Rock the Boat carries both a dark chocolate and nut flavor profile.

Guatemalan La Flor
We roast this bean to a true French Roast profile, so are careful not to damage the natural chocolate notes. An intensely dark chocolate flavor is accentuated by a smoked almond overtone. Your guests will be pleasantly surprised at how much flavor a dark coffee can have.

Costa Rican Medium Roast
Costa Rica Conquistador naturally presents a full body of nuttiness with a touch of creamy butter. Some pallettes detect of note of fruit.

Storm Blend
A wonderful blueberry note jumps out of this coffee. With dark chocolate hints as an accent, this coffee is sure to win your heart. It is full bodied, provides an excellent crema and is our signature blend.

Hearthside Blend
It has a unique quality that produces hints of butterscotch, maple, chocolate, and brazil nut. This is a Swedish Blend which is 1/2 French Roast and 1/2 Medium Roast.

Sumatran French Roast
This is a French Roast with a syrupy body and boldly unique overtones of butterscotch and smoked nuts. We nicknamed this coffee after one of our favorite customers who coined himself, Frank Sumatera.

Colombia Bambuco!
Our most traditional tasting coffee on the menu. When you feel like a good rich coffee that is bold and smooth this is the winner. This is the coffee for the matter-of-fact coffee drinker that wants a darker roast, but favors a smooth finish. Subtle notes of chocolate and toasted marshmallow.
